The Kenan Institute and the Beaufort County Economic Development Board have been working together to develop several important documents for the county.  Establishing the Economic Development Investment Policy Guidelines encourages new industries to locate to the county, as well as existing industries to expand.  Additionally, Beaufort County and the Institute have developed a work plan to identify strengths, test new strategies and nurture new collaborations. The plan identifies challenges to the county, as well as opportunities, assets, mission, vision and goals. An important component to the working document includes an action and implementation plan.
