Former NCGrowth client, Home Elevator & Lift Product LLC is investing nearly $560,000 in an expansion that will create 22 new jobs in Greene County. The expansion, which was announced Friday, involves producing and servicing passenger elevators such as chair lifts for homes. Home Elevator was founded in 1995 and holds numerous patents. It currently employs 24 people in the state and will add the 22 new workers at the Snow Hill location. Positions will include production workers, installation technicians and sales representatives. Salaries will average at least $36,028 per year. Overall annual wages in Greene County are currently $26,997.

SNOW HILL, Greene County – A manufacturing facility in Greene County will be adding 22 more jobs in the next three years, according to the governor’s office.
Home Elevator & Lift Product LLC is investing nearly $560,000 in the expansion. The expansion, which was announced Friday, involves producing and servicing passenger elevators such as chair lifts for homes.

“North Carolina continues to grow manufacturing jobs,” Governor Pat McCrory said in a press release. “From boat lifts to residential chair lifts, Home Elevator builds on exceptional experience and expertise in its industry.”

Home Elevator was founded in 1995 and holds numerous patents. It currently employs 24 people in the state and will add the 22 new workers at the Snow Hill location. Positions will include production workers, installation technicians and sales representatives. Salaries will average at least $36,028 per year. Overall annual wages in Greene County are currently $26,997.

“Eastern North Carolina’s moderate costs, excellent labor force and supportive business climate enable manufacturers like us to succeed and grow,” said company president F. H. “Buzz” Shackelford. “We want to thank state and local officials who assisted our company as we planned for this expansion.”

The expansion is made possible in part by a performance-based grant of up to $50,000 from the One North Carolina Fund.
