NCGrowth welcomes summer analysts and new projects

NCGrowth has selected three North Carolina Central University student analysts to work on economic development and E-TAP projects this summer.

Jessica Parish is a JD/MBA student at North Carolina Central University. She graduated from Howard University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management/Political Science. During her time in Washington, D.C. Jessica interned for the Washington Redskins and worked for Hyatt Hotels.  She is currently the Communications director for the Business Law Society and wishes to bridge the gap between Law and MBA students at NCCU.  At NCGrowth, Jessica is working with Footprints in the Garden Farm, a local spray free direct to consumer farm in Mount Olive,  to help develop new business strategies.

Kelvironta Harvey an MBA/Information Systems student at North Carolina Central University. Originally from eastern North Carolina, he obtained his bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Computer Science from Winston Salem State University in 2012. He worked for several years in  the behavioral health sector. His long-term goal is to be an entrepreneur and to change business with radical management techniques. Kel will be working this summer with the town of Princeville to explore tourism opportunities.

Patrick Minor is earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at North Carolina Central University, with a concentration in Marketing. As a Community Economic Development Leadership Assistant, Patrick assisted in the implementation, development, and coordination of leadership development activities for his former high school through NC Community Development Initiative Inc. He is certified in Career Readiness and in National Customer Service by the State North Carolina. As an Economic Development Analyst, Patrick assists with grant writing and research, environmental research, enrichment programs, as well as in marketing events and projects held and sponsored by the NCGrowth Team.
