Scott Boyce

Scott is a 2017 MBA Candidate at UNC Kenan-Flagler, where he is concentrating his studies on Management Consulting and Sustainable Business. Prior to business school, Scott studied Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and pursued a mission-driven career. Scott has worked for some of the largest anti-poverty nonprofits in the United States, but focused the impact close to home in the Metropolitan Milwaukee area. Scott taught 4th grade for 2 years through the Teach For America program, and moved on to address food insecurity with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin (FAEW), the state’s largest food bank. With FAEW, Scott worked at the intersection of the for-profit and nonprofit industries, overseeing the collective impact relationship between hundreds of national and local retailers, including Walmart, Target, and regional chains, and the food bank. The power of these relationships pushed Scott toward business school to learn how to more effectively use business to create positive outcomes for society.
