Expanding Norman Showcase Academy

Norman Showcase Academy (NSA) is an indoor athletic complex in St. Pauls, North Carolina that provides training for youth baseball teams. The mission statement of the organization is “helping youth reach their highest potential through athletics.” NCGrowth partnered with NSA’s owner, Starsky Norman, to help organize the company’s financial recordkeeping, launch the company’s website, identify opportunities for additional revenue, and create models for future growth. NCGrowth Expands Impact into Sandhills with Golden Leaf Foundation

NCGrowth expanded its work with local governments and growing businesses in the Sandhills Region of North Carolina in 2016 with funding from the Golden Leaf Foundation. In the first year of expansion, NCGrowth has worked with 11 businesses through its Entrepreneurial Technical Assistance Program (ETAP). These businesses collectively employ 162 people and half are minority-owned. More
